Hannes Andersson is an artist, filmmaker and researcher, born in Gothenburg (Sweden) He studied Media, Art, Design and Technology at the Frank Mohr Institute, Minerva Art Academy. Hannes is co-founder of the art collective Chinos International CC, director and co-founder of the independent film group Andersson Rodriguez Films. His artistic work focuses on the relationships between humanity, technology culture and narrative.

Atmospheric chemist Paul J. Crutzen has proposed the concept of the Anthropocene, to characterise the contemporary geological era. It signifies the dominating geological force of human agency having the major impact on global ecology.

Stating human agency as the dominating geological force, inevitably brings us to the question: Who is this human? who’s agency are we actually talking about? Which responsibility do I personally have? What does it even mean to be human, in a time where culture and social organisation is largely being outsourced to semi-autonomous computational processes?
