ExpoImmersive Computing
General purpose computing has exploded into a worldwide network of computers. Processors are the main hub for all these computational processes. They power a vast range of activities, but to actually look inside a running processor is difficult. To give more insight into the computational process, this installation runs a custom-built simulated processor. Free of the limitations of the physical world, this processor can be examined during operation. The processor is presented in Virtual Reality in order to create a feeling of presence. Visitors are able to get an almost physical experience of the computational processes that are being presented.
